Art Slam

Here. I am so excited about this challenge since I no longer hate acrylic paint and I have not used a canvas in years. Join me, won’t you? I am planning big things for my canvas.

I love using my journals to experiment. With this page, I printed out transparancies and burned the edges. Very cool technique I picked up from Somerset Workshop 2. Great magazine. I now buy fruit just to take pictures of it. I ban everyone in my house from touching the produce until I have photographed it on my favorite plates and backgrounds. Seriously, I am obsessed with food photography right now.

I have been asked to create a few things for a new kit club. They sent me the most unusual assortment of scrapbook paper things. You much check them out.

I just heard about the new line of clothing Sara Jessica Parker is launching. Bitten will be at Steve & Berry’s starting June 7. Finally, someone who gets that freakin’ clothing should not cost a darn fortune. Nothing will be over $20. Wow. I have to see it to believe it.

I delivered at the 11th hour my first project for Lazar StudioWERX. The team and I were challenged to use a manila envelope and some of the DigiWERX materials to create…something. Here is my creation and details are here.



Seriously, I am in love with the Journaling Spots and I will be using them more in my future scrapbooking projects.

This kit is sick. For real! I did not realize just how much I was going to like the Love, Elsie. line of stuff. Elsie…she is sick! This is one of the best scrapbook lines out there and I am not saying it to kiss her butt. I don’t kiss butt! Seriously, the rub-ons are like freakin’ butter and the paper works well for lots of different subjects. Straight bad ass!! Here are my pages featuring stuff from the Story of My Life kit:

I have always liked to photograph food things. Lately, with the weather being so warm, I have moved to fruits and veggies again. These tomatoes look funky because of Michelle Black’s Funky Action. I like how it alters the color and makes it pop. Best of all, I like the tomatoes!
