Don’t Hate

It seems this little layout here has cause a stir in a few people. It is one of my design team projects for Story of My Life and I posted it yesterday to a few places, showing off the kit. The emails that have been flying my way. WOW! No haters, like I would really care, mainly people asking why I created such an angry layout or cheering me on.

My page was not directed at scrapbookers, photographers or crafters specifically. In fact, it is not even my experience that prompted the page. A few friends have been dealing with major haters and the words just flowed from my pen to paper. Simple as that.

I don’t deal with haters
Or bitter bitches
I don’t have time
Life is too short
Nothing is guaranteed
So,
Why
Hate?

i love this lo and never once thought you were talking about crafters. i took it as people in general.
i love your realness in your layouts :)

I too never thought about crafters, but if you did mean crafters, who cares. “Haters” come in all areas of life. I too picked up my journal and I’m ready to roll! Can’t wait! Tell all the haters to “Step”! ;-)

Amen!!!! I love it! For the LONGEST my favorite song was “hate on me” by jill scott! It might have to make a re-apperance on the blog next time I update! LOL

love the layout,,,so on point…makes me think of Ms. Jill & her song “Hate on Me”…i have it on my blog now! so many people are haters and some don’t even realize it!

I think it’s perfect! I see it as directed at people in general, and a lot of my ‘art’ is created in the hopes that it will open just one person’s mind to a different viewpoint.

Dare I say it??? You’re a lover, not a hater! (I know, I know…lots of cheesiness! LOL!)

I just stumbled upon your blog and am enjoying going through all of your posts. I love your “realness” and your philosophy throughout your posts. I’m in Cincinnati too – so many people in this town force you to rise above! LOL! I guess they are everywhere. I don’t understand how anyone could be confused or offended by the simple message of this page. Love it – am looking forward to reading your blog on a regular basis. Thanks!
