My middle child was eating a bowl of frosted flakesĀ and gasps suddenly, “Momma! Look, come see!” She is smiling as big as ever and shows me the heart shaped flake in her bowl of cereal. I tell her how cool it is and she tells me to get my camera. “You have to take a picture of this before I eat it, Mom.”
Last year, she found a heart-shaped strawberry. Seems she has been inspired to find heart-shaped things and it has been a long time coming. So, you can imagine her excitement and at finding a darn near perfectly shaped cornflake almost at the bottom of her bowl. Now, that is some love for you right there!

Cami @ Heart-Shaped - I call my business Heart-Shaped Rock Cottage because I find hearts in the oddest places. I have since I was teeny. LOVE this pic! And love the excitement of kiddos. Just the best.
adrienne - HA! I love it!
Traci - I love this so much
) Adorable!
Christine Mortensen - I wish we could hold on to that kind of child-like observation more easily as we get older. Children have such a wonderful way of making connections that adults so often overlook. It’s great when they make you stop rushing through your day, take a second, and really *look* at something like this. I hope she finds a million more heart shaped things in the future
Thanks for sharing!
christina padilla - wow. that is cool. second heart she’s seen in unlikely places!
this may sound wierd but i don’t know if you believe in the afterlife but i’ve heard that they can send you messages like this. Someone is sending her their love through hearts she is finding. Call me crazy……but i’m sure she’ll find more!
