Five Fab Faves – Art Journaling

Hey, Lu! Just wanted to update you on the lifeskills class I did with the 7th graders! I introduced art journals to them and they had a blast. Some looked fairly anxious, some just dove right in. I left you a message on the year of color chat blog.

Today was day 2 and I introduced paint and modgepodge. They were to bring pictures of their lockers. Wow. We have some young, creative souls out there. The next time we meet, I think I’ll do some sketching outside, some color over that. One boy asked if they could bring in pics of themselves, I told him we could do that for the last class. It goes by so fast and is WAY fun. Thanks for your encouragement. Lynn

I *just* bought a sketch book… a really nice one that I’ve been wanting for a while. I started trying to draw myself or memories and then writing around that. I also wanted to incorporate some other media, so I’m glad I came across this post today. Very inspiring.
