Live the Life…Peaceful Tranquility Through Art Journaling

live-the-life_art-journaling-page

Again…that peaceful tranquility theme pops up in yet another art journaling page. I pretty much figure my first mind is telling me to chill out, take a moment and just be. Not always easy for me, as I am used to being on the go and filling darn near every waking moment with something that just has to be done. As a result of that, I have noticed all that activity has taken a toll on my body. Fatigue, restlessness, teenage acne in my 30′s, weight gain, massive craving for sweets and so on. Well, I decided earlier this month it was time to listen to my intuition and release a few obligations and take better care of myself.

I see it like this. You can not do everything well, but you can do a few things really well. What are you doing to live the life you want? And, lurkers, leave a comment. I would love to get to know you better.

8 years ago I made the decision to quit my job and stay at home with my newborn daughter! We budgeted and sacrificed some luxuries to live on one income. Today we own a home with our now ’5′ daughters and I am living the life that I want…to steal kisses and hugs in the middle of the afternoon, to greet my girls coming home from school, and to take the fleeting moments of their childhood at a bit of a slower pace.

This is something I’ve been contemplating, too, and have decided I want to do the following for myself, because i deserve it:

*Memorize scripture that speaks to me
*Drink even more water
*Be graceful to all around me, because it is the right thing to do, and I think it will make me more peaceful and calm
*Spend less, save more so that my hubby and I can take a nice vacation together and relax
*Spend more time reading than watching tv

I love that collage.

It is relaxing just looking at it.

One day I’ll upload a collage that gives the same feeling.

love this page-I find myself choosing photos like this, and calming, peaceful messages on my pages…along with (trying) meditating, listening to spiritual type podcasts and reading more self help books…I do feel more peace inside than 6 months ago, but I have such a long way to go. I’m working on a vision board now, and I’m creating something everyday (it helps-plus I FEEL my true purpose has to do with art/creativity, and figure the more I create, the closer I am to finding the right path), and I know the things that I still need to do, like change my diet, exercise, take better care of myself physically.
Ok, I’d better quit before I ramble on forever:) thanks for the post:)
take care and have a good evening!
Trish
