Karen! How exciting to have a completed journal. I do not always finish every page and I have abandoned journals for a fresh start. Just happens that way sometimes.

As I read this, I’m about to write on the last page of my very first completed journal of my life — it feels really triumphant! My journal looks a lot like yours: lots of found quotes and photographs glued into the pages. I don’t do that ahead of time — I find the images sort of have to go with my words (sort of like my blog, now that I think about it!), but because I love colour, I do sometimes paint pages ahead of time — just take watercolour and slather paint on a page or two. I have no idea why I do this, but it’s therapeutic, for some reason.
