Back to the Source

better to know now

When I created this page, I did it from a place of pain. I can not tell you what the journaling says behind the picture, because quite honestly, I don’t have a desire to try to read it or understand why I wrote it. I have no desire to hold on to the pain. I am learning to let go. Letting go of expectations, false experiences that appear real and made up stories in my head. Instead, I am embracing hope, truth and faith. I am learning to love myself, believing I deserve that soul-stirring love in return and knowing in my heart of hearts that everything IS going to be okay. God never promised life would be easy, but He did promise that when you are lost, you can find your way back to Him. So, here is to finding your way back to the Source.

Jennifer Gandin Le - I can feel the raw emotion from this page; you conveyed it really artfully! Through effort and learning new techniques, I’ve gotten a lot better at letting go of the pain, but I do still understand the impulse to clutch at it, to keep it close. It’s like a marker, a reminder that something happened, that that moment in your life was real. Maybe that’s where these beautiful art journals come in, or poems, or photography — transforming the pain into art. Remembering, but not clinging to it.

Heather - Beautiful and honest page and post.. I know that the biggest lessons often come wrapped in not pretty packages.. be gentle with yourself to work your way through whatever it is.. You are guided and embraced even in those times where it feels like you are all alone..
