How Deep Are You Willing to Go for Love?

Looking Beyond Myself

Do you know that misery, unhappiness, bitterness and love are choices? We can choose these things. Of those four things, which would make you feel good about yourself? Hopefully, you picked love. If this is the case, then why do so many of us choose everything except love?

I am going to be honest here: We need to get over ourselves. We waste so much time concerned about what other people think about us, trying to impress them, changing our appearance for them and less concerned about treating people right. If you wonder why you have no joy or peace in your life, look at your love walk. How are you treating people?

We waste so much energy and time being angry, holding grudges and blaming people for our bad attitudes. Too many people choose to have a victim mentality. This kind of thinking tells these “victims” that what is wrong with them is someone else’s fault. Seriously…take a look in the mirror and choose to be accountable for where you are and the person you have chosen to become right now.  It is no one else’s fault when you choose to be negative.

Focusing on doing what is right not only uses less energy, it makes you feel good. My life now is about sowing good seeds so when my harvest comes, it is a good one. Sowing seeds of love is a choice. Personally, I have grown weary of being miserable or being someone’s excuse for being miserable. I have three little people who look to me as an example of what love can be. My love walk has become so important to me, that I imagine my children looking at me when I am in a situation of choosing to be good to someone or treating them as poorly as they treat me. I am going deeper. No longer will I live a superficial life with no substance. Instead, I am choosing the path of peace, love and joy.

Mary - I’ve been digging through your website for the last couple of days and I am so inspired. I keep coming back for more and every time I do, I find something else that lifts me up, brightens my spirit and challenges me.Your writing, photos and art journaling ideas are amazing.

I’m going to start small with the journaling. I’m currently traveling through India and I’ve just started my second journal. All the pages are blank and this will be my first attempt to add a few doodles in it, or some artistic additions (gulp!!).

Thanks for all the inspiration.

Peace. Love. Joy. :)
