Slowing Down for a Bit

I feel like I have lost all concept of time and not in a good way. It is the 23rd of June and without looking at my calendar to see what I did, I could not tell you in all honesty if I spent that time wisely. I have been working on removing time wasters and busters from my life for a few months now. I rarely watch TV or listen to the radio. I have grown tired of filling my mind with garbage and other people’s misery. Instead, I watch my children play and I play with them. I read…a lot. I talk to God…a lot. Funny how as things seemed to be happening around me at lightning speed, God sends me something to make me slow down.

I am off to speak at the Evo Conference this weekend. I will be a part of the craft workshop and working with some dynamic women: Cindy Hopper (Skip to my Lou), Elizabeth Kartchner (Dear Lizzy) and Marie LeBaron (Make and Takes). I have never been to Utah, so I am looking forward to shooting beautiful pictures, meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. Here’s to a good time.
