Evo Conference **The People**

I was invited to speak at the Evo Conference, which in itself is an honor anytime I am invited to share my love of writing, art and photography with others. I also enjoy meeting new people and seeing old friends. These conferences are usually the only means for me to connect with them in real life. Those connections have inspired me and challenged me to be better everyday. I am forever grateful for them.
me & carinaCarina walked up to me the first night in Park City and said, “I don’t know you.” I introduced myself and said, “Now we know each other.” She is super spunky, knows SEO like the back of her hand and can wear a pair of green pumps like nobody’s business. I am glad I met her.

me&elizabethElizabeth is one of the people I was most excited to meet because I have followed and admired her creativity since she won Scrapbooker of the Year for Creative Keepsakes. She is every bit as nice as you could imagine.

me & lisa leonardWords can not describe how excited I was to learn Lisa was going to be one of my room mates at Evo. I have admired her jewelry for a while and love the simple style and elegance of her work. She also has some of the most amazing hair, a sweet personality and a love for her family that I admired. It was wonderful sitting around the first night chatting with her and Cindy. Truly something I will always treasure.

me&lorraineI met Lorraine at my first conference in San Francisco back in 2008. She is 5’11″ and owns it. Do you hear me?!! She is also one of the funniest people I have ever met and I was so glad to have some time to really sit and chat with her this time around. By the way, I owe her some notes from the SEO session!

me & basic grey ladiesBasic Grey is hands down my favorite line of scrapbook paper. They recently went digital and have introduced a line of fabric. I could not be any more thrilled to see them venture out like this. Kristina participate in my session at the conference, the Craft Workshop sponsored by Provo Craft. At the end, she came up and introduced herself and told me she worked for Basic Grey…I instantly liked her. She introduced me to Rachel and Jen the next day. I am so thrilled I had a chance to connect with them and I hope to work with them in the future on some creative projects. This is a great group of ladies.

I tell you, the connections are what keep me going to these events. I can not get enough of hearing people’s stories and sharing ideas. Stay tuned for another installment of the people I met at Evo.
